Procedure

Laparoscopic & robotic hysterectomy

Minimally invasive removal of the womb where clinically indicated.

Hysterectomy may be recommended for conditions such as heavy bleeding, fibroids or adenomyosis when other treatments have not helped or are not suitable. Where appropriate, it is performed by a laparoscopic or robotic (keyhole) approach, which can support a quicker recovery. The decision is reached together after discussing all the available options.

The right approach is always individualised and discussed with you in full beforehand. To talk through your options, you can book an appointment or contact the practice. You may also find our guide helpful: read the article →.
