Inspection and treatment of the inside of the womb, often as a day case.

Hysteroscopy uses a fine telescope to examine the inside of the womb. It can both diagnose and treat conditions such as polyps, fibroids within the cavity and causes of abnormal bleeding. Many procedures are carried out as a day case, with the specifics explained beforehand.
